Rose Tico is a character in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, specifically appearing in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. She is a former maintenance worker for the Resistance fleet.
Rose joined the Resistance after her sister, Paige Tico, a gunner, was killed during a battle with the First Order. Driven by grief and a desire to fight against injustice, she sought to make a meaningful contribution to the cause.
During the events of The Last Jedi, Rose embarks on a mission with Finn to find a codebreaker who can disable a First Order tracking device. This mission takes them to the casino city of Canto Bight, where they learn harsh truths about the exploitation fueling the galaxy's wealth. Though ultimately unsuccessful in their original goal, their experiences reinforced Rose's belief in fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves.
